Exploring the Future of Business Education Through Generative AI

Faculty from the Department of Finance, Banking, and Real Estate (FBRE) at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) College of Business Administration are partnering in biweekly "vibe coding" sessions to explore the transformative potential of Generative AI in higher education. These collaborative workshops bring together educators and AI tools to tackle three key questions shaping the future of business instruction: How can Generative AI help faculty design more engaging and meaningful assignments? How can it streamline and enhance the grading process? And how can it better equip students with the skills they need to thrive in careers across finance, banking, and real estate?
Through hands-on experimentation, participants are discovering practical ways to integrate AI into their teaching — from building interactive, immersive learning experiences to developing smarter assessment workflows. The sessions reflect UNO's broader commitment to ensuring that both faculty and students are prepared to leverage emerging technologies, not just as end users, but as informed, creative collaborators in an AI-augmented world.
